 La Fortuna (formerly El Morro) is a large, copper-gold project located in the Atacama province in Chile, approximately 50 miles east of Vallenar. Goldcorp's La Fortuna and Teck's Relincho projects were combined to form NuevaUnión, a 50/50 joint venture.

  1. Royal Gold estimates that its royalty covers approximately 30% of this deposit.
  2.  Reserve figures represent the estimated gold and copper reserves that are associated with Royal Gold's royalty interests rather than total reserves for the project. (See footnote #1.) Total reserves at the project are estimated to be 8.91 million ounces of gold and 6.53 billion pounds of copper.
  3. At a gold price of $1,300 per ounce and at a copper price of $3.00 per pound.        
  4. Goldcorp indicated that the project field construction activities have been suspended since April 2012 pending the definition and implementation by the Chilean environmental permitting authority of a community consultation process which corrects certain deficiencies in that process as specifically identified by the Antofagasta Court of Appeals.
